WHY HOLIDAY AT WHANGAMATA?
The Whangamata beach has 6km of beautiful white sand with stunning estuaries at either end. The beach is also world renowned for having one of the most famous surf breaks. We have fantastic mountain bike tracks and bush walks a short drive away, to put every skill level to the test, not to mention the Coromandel Peninsular on our doorstep.
You can get the perfect coffee at one of the many cafe's after you have strolled through town checking out the shops. Or treat yourself to dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants, bars, clubs or takeaways.
So come and put your feet up, or get active - however you want to holiday!
WHANGAMATA MOTOR CAMP
With the beach less than a 100m stroll away and town even closer, the Whangamata Motor Camp is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy your next holiday. A popular spot for families, surfers and holiday-makers.
POWERED SITES
We welcome motorhomes, caravans and tents of any size for both short and long stays. We have over 90 powered sites of various sizes on level grassy land.
CABINS
There are 8 cabins to choose from, the cabins are like stepping back in time to a 1950's beach batch, you will like these if you like 'old school' batches. They come equipped with a small kitchen along with all cutlery, pots, plates etc - you just need to bring your bedding and towels. Please note: no dogs are allowed to stay in the cabins.
FACILITIES
There are numerous shower and toilet facilities dotted throughout the camp along with access to a good-sized communal camp kitchen, a dump station and a laundry. There is a BBQ for guests to use along with a small children's playground.
We are pet-friendly most of the year excluding 24th December - 9th February, some public holidays and Beach Hop. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times within the campground.
